Adjacent means the eight tiles around it, while touching only refers to the four tiles orthogonal to it. ![]() Landscape cards can’t touch the road (can’t be placed within one tile of the road).Ĭard interactions depend on the words adjacent or touching in their descriptions. These cards replace the default wasteland tiles. Graphic: Jeffrey Parkin | Sources: Four Quarters/Devolver Digital via Polygon You can see the differences in the handy illustration below. Road, roadside, and landscape card placementĮvery Loop Hero card falls into three broad categories based on their valid placement locations: cards that are placed on the road, along the roadside, or in the landscape. In this Loop Hero guide, we’ll list every Loop Hero card and tile, their placement requirements, and what they do. With dozens of cards, combos, interactions, and synergies between them, it’s hard to keep track of everything, let alone placement. So get ready to blast off in a rocket fuelled Starfield performance preview. In Loop Hero, you build out the world with cards, and each card creates a tile with its own effects - things like spawning enemies and resources. We also compare the improvements over the previous showing, enhancements within the engine, and much more. The biggest question after the show(s) was: why is it 30fps on Xbox Series X and Series S and not 60fps? In this IGN Performance preview, we dive into the details shared by the team, the revealed PC minimum and recommended specifications, and how the Creation Engine 2 works, comparing the previous games to gauge some of the potential reasons why the team might have chosen 30fps. With Starfield being the center of the Xbox 2023 Showcase last week, Bethesda gave us a deep dive into one of the biggest games this generation. The Hunter has the following abilities and specifics: Here were my stats when I took down the Hunter. The only downside of the card is that it prevents you from getting Yellow or Orange quality gear, but luckily this doesn't affect the Rogue. The Outpost cards are also extremely helpful as they'll spawn allies in adjacent fights. If you're given the option, take the "Picky" trait as it gives you higher quality gear. I also recommend using the Arsenal card to unlock the Amulet slot. Getting your evasion up will also negate the need for health ups, allowing you to keep Villages and Meadows out of your deck as they aren't really necessary here. The Rogue also greatly benefits from Evasion so get that stat as high as possible too and you won't take much damage throughout your run or against the Hunter. I recommend playing your Forest tiles as well, but I wouldn't place them next to the River unless you have a lot of excess space next to it - they just aren't as effective as Thickets. The best way to do that is to build a long River and to place your Thicket tiles next to it as it will double the attack speed increase. You're going to want to play to the Rogue's strengths here, so make sure to increase your attack speed as much as possible. We recommend using the Rogue for this fight as they are able to deal a lot of damage in a short amount of time. To best combat this, you'll want to deal large amounts of damage fast, so the Warrior isn't really the best option. The Hunter fight only gets harder as time goes on as both the Hunter and his hounds have "the Pack" ability which not only heals them after the death of an ally, but also gives them an 100% increase to attack. Upgrade Cemetery: If you haven't already upgraded your Cemetery, now is a good time as the free resurrection will be extremely useful as a last minute run-saver. For example, Battlefield's give you loot which is best to get at the start of a loop so place it right after your camp and you'll get good loot and have an easier time taking it out. This can be very useful if you place some of your harder battles next to the camp. ![]() Each one will spawn a crossbowman to fight in battles on tiles adjacent to the Cozy Camp. ![]() Watchtower: You can build up to 4 Watchtowers around you camp. Intel Center: The Intel Center unlocks the game's Encyclopedia, the Desert and Sand Dune cards, and the ability to add Golden cards to your deck. ![]()
